3UZ-FE IGNITION: IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER Removal

3. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE Removal

4. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the ignition coil connector.





(b) Remove the bolt and pull out the ignition coil.

5. REMOVE SPARK PLUG

(a) Using a 16 mm spark plug wrench, remove the 6 spark plugs.
