Removal

WIPER AND WASHER: FRONT WIPER MOTOR: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM RH

(a) Stop the wiper at the automatic stop position.

(b) Remove the nut and arm.

3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM LH

(a) Remove the nut and arm.

4. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Detach the 5 claws and remove the 4 clips.





(b) Detach the 8 claws and remove the louver.





5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts and link.

6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the connecting part of the rod at the crank arm pivot of the wiper motor.





(b) Remove the nut and washer.





(c) Place matchmarks on the crank arm and wiper motor.

(d) Remove the 3 bolts and windshield wiper motor from the link.
