CAN COMMUNICATION: CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

1. CAN BUS CHECK

(a) Using the Techstream, select "CAN Bus Check" from the "System Select"

2. CHECK FOR INSTALLED SYSTEMS (ECUS AND SENSORS) THAT ADOPT CAN COMMUNICATION

(a) Systems (ECUs, sensors) that adopt CAN communication vary depending on the vehicle's optional settings. Check which systems (ECUs, sensors) are installed on the vehicle.

3. DTC TABLE BY ECU

HINT
* In the CAN communication system, CAN communication system DTCs can be displayed by the ECU using the Techstream.
* If CAN communication system DTCs are output, trouble cannot be determined only by the DTCs. Perform troubleshooting according to "HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING". How to Proceed With Troubleshooting

(a) ECM

HINT
* DTC communication uses the CAN communication system.
* Distance control ECU data is also output.

* *1: If only DTC U0101 is output, refer to the SFI system U0101.
* *2: If U0235 or U1102 is output alone from the ECUs, the CAN communication is normal U0235for U0235, U1102 for U1102).
* *3: This DTC is output only for vehicles with the dynamic radar cruise control system.

(b) SKID CONTROL ECU

DTC communication uses the CAN communication system.

(d) GATEWAY ECU

(e) MAIN BODY ECU

(f) AFS ECU

(h) MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU

(i) CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR

HINT
The center airbag sensor is connected to the CAN communication system, but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(j) STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

HINT
The steering angle sensor is connected to the CAN communication system, but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(k) YAW RATE SENSOR

HINT
The yaw rate sensor is connected to the CAN communication system, but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(l) OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU

HINT
The outer mirror control ECU sensor is connected to the CAN communication system, but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(m) CERTIFICATION ECU

HINT
The certification ECU is connected to the CAN communication system, but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(n) DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY

HINT
The display and navigation module display is connected to the CAN communication system, but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(o) CLEARANCE WARNING ECU

HINT
The clearance warning ECU is connected to the CAN communication system, but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(p) SEAT POSITION CONTROL ECU (FRONT LH SIDE)

The seat position control ECU (front LH side) is connected to the CAN communication system, but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(q) SEAT POSITION CONTROL ECU (FRONT RH SIDE)

The seat position control ECU (front RH side) is connected to the CAN communication system, but CAN communication DTCs are not output.
