4. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER Removal

5. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP Removal

6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

7. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY Removal

8. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE Removal

9. INSTALL CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

11. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

12. REMOVE TOOL WITH STAY BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

13. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMP ASSEMBLY

14. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER Removal

15. REMOVE NO. 4 HYBRID BATTERY INTAKE DUCT Removal

16. REMOVE NO. 4 HYBRID BATTERY SHIELD PANEL

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

(a) Using the service plug grip, remove the battery cover lock striker.

HINT
Insert the projecting part of the service plug grip, and turn the button of the battery cover lock striker counterclockwise to release the lock.

(b) Remove the 3 bolts, 2 nuts and No. 4 hybrid battery shield panel.

17. REMOVE NO. 1 HYBRID BATTERY SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

(a) Remove the 3 clamps from the No. 1 hybrid battery shield sub-assembly.

(b) Using the service plug grip, remove the battery cover lock striker.

Insert the projecting part of the service plug grip, and turn the button of the battery cover lock striker counterclockwise to release the lock.

(c) Remove the 8 nuts and No. 1 hybrid battery shield sub-assembly.

18. REMOVE NO. 5 HYBRID BATTERY INTAKE DUCT

(a) Remove the No. 5 hybrid battery intake duct.

19. DISCONNECT FRAME WIRE

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

(a) Remove the battery shield contact.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the frame wire.

20. REMOVE HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the hybrid battery junction block assembly.

(b) Disconnect the 5 connectors from the hybrid battery junction block assembly.

21. REMOVE HIGH VOLTAGE FUSE

HINT
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the high voltage fuse is necessary.

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and high voltage fuse.
