LIGHTING: SCUFF PLATE LIGHT: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SCUFF PLATE LIGHT

(a) Disconnect the connector from the scuff plate light.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:

LH Side:





RH Side:





If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.

(c) Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the (-) lead to terminal 1.





(d) Check that the scuff plate light comes on.

OK:

Comes on

If the result is not as specified, replace the scuff plate.
