Removal and Installation

Vehicles with short floor console

1. Pulling firmly in a rearward direction, remove the Rear Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (RHVAC) module finish panel and position it aside.

Vehicles with long floor console

2. Remove the rear floor console upper trim panel.

1. Lift the rear of the panel upward to release the retaining clips.

2. Pull the panel toward the rear of the vehicle to release the front retaining clips.

3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

All vehicles

3. Disconnect the backup transceiver electrical connector.

4. Remove the 4 nuts and the backup transceiver.

5. NOTE: Replacement of the backup transceiver does not require the Intelligent Access (IA) keys to be programmed into the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module again.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
