Liftgate Trim Panel









Removal and Installation

Vehicles with a power liftgate

1. Remove the power liftgate rod retaining nut cover.





2. Remove the power liftgate rod retaining nut.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).





3. Remove the power liftgate rod from the liftgate.

All vehicles

4. NOTE: The front of the upper liftgate trim panel is shown with the locations of the trim panel retainers indicated.

Remove the liftgate upper trim panel.

- Pull the liftgate upper trim panel toward the middle of the liftgate window glass to release the pushpins.





5. Remove the liftgate lower trim panel reflective covers.

6. Remove the 4 liftgate lower trim panel screws.





7. NOTE: The front of the lower liftgate trim panel is shown with the locations of the retainers indicated.

Remove the liftgate lower trim panel.

- Pull outward on the liftgate lower trim panel to release the pushpins.





8. NOTICE: To avoid damage to the liftgate trim panel, remove any pushpins from the liftgate and attach them to the liftgate trim panel before installing.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
