XB83 - Check Continuity of A/C Clutch



- Key "OFF".

- A/C clutch disconnected.

- Variable Control Relay Module (VCRM) disconnected.

- Measure resistance of the A/C clutch coil (between the power-to-A/C clutch and A/C clutch ground pins at the A/C clutch connector).

- Is resistance less than 10 ohms?

Yes -- Replace VCRM. Reconnect all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

A/C "OFF", defroster "OFF". Start engine, wait 15 seconds. Key "OFF". Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Replace A/C clutch. Reconnect all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
