XB86 - Check Power to A/C Clutch: Intermittent Short to Power



- A/C "OFF".

- Key "ON".

- Shake, wiggle, bend the power-to-A/C clutch circuit between the Variable Control Relay Module (VCRM) and A/C clutch (especially in the vicinity of power circuits). A short to power will be indicated by the A/C clutch engaging.

- Key "OFF".

- Is a fault indicated?

Yes -- Isolate fault and service as necessary. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Go to XB87. XB87 - Check A/C Circuits For Intermittent Opens
