Normal Operation
The navigation system microphone is integrated into the rear view mirror. The microphone supplies a voice signal to the navigation system module through circuits 8-MC8 (WH/RD)) and 9-MC8 (BN/RD). The rear view mirror receives switched B+ voltage through circuit 75-AD15 (YE/BU). Circuit 31-AD15 (BK) provides the mirror ground.

Possible Causes
- circuit 8-MC8 (WH/RD) open or shorted
- circuit 9-MC8 (BN/RD) open or shorted
- circuit 75-AD15 (YE/BU) open or shorted to ground
- circuit 31-AD15 (BK) open
- microphone
- navigation system module
