Wiper Arm: Service and Repair




Wiper Mounting Arm and Pivot Shaft

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to Battery, Mounting and Cables Battery Disconnect.

2. Remove the cowl panel grilles. For additional information, refer to Front End Body Panels Service and Repair.

3. Remove the nuts, the bolts and position the wiper mounting and pivot shaft assembly aside.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly.

Installation

1. Position the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly.
- Connect the electrical connector.

2. Install the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly nuts and bolts.
- Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

3. Install the cowl panel grilles. For additional information, refer to Front End Body Panels Service and Repair.

4. Connect the battery. For additional information, refer to Battery, Mounting and Cables Battery Disconnect.

5. Check the wiper pivot arm adjustment. For additional information, refer to Wiper Blade and Pivot Arm Adjustment Adjustments.
