PINPOINT TEST 2: THE ABS MODULE DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE SCAN TOOL - HYBRID

Normal Operation

The ABS module communicates with the scan tool through the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN). Circuits (W/L) (HS-CAN +) and (W) (HS-CAN -) provide the network connection to the ABS module. The ABS module shares the HS-CAN with the PCM, the instrument cluster (IC), the restraints control module (RCM), the power steering control module (PSCM), the transmission control module (TCM), the battery control module (BCM) and the occupant classification sensor module (OCSM). Voltage for the ABS module is provided by circuits (V/BR), (BR/R), (R) and (Y/R). Ground is provided by circuits (B/Y) and (B/V).

- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- ABS module

Diagnostic Procedure

CAUTION:Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
