Pinpoint Test 1: All The Stop lamps Are Inoperative
PINPOINT TEST 1: ALL THE STOPLAMPS ARE INOPERATIVE
Normal Operation
The brake pedal position (BPP) switch is supplied voltage through circuit (Y/R) from the smart junction box (SJB). When the brake pedal is applied, the BPP switch routes voltage back to the smart junction box (SJB) and the high mounted stoplamp through circuit (V/W). The SJB provides voltage to the rear lamps when it receives input from the BPP switch indicating that the brake pedal is applied.
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- BPP switch
- SJB
Diagnostic Procedure
CAUTION:Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
