12. Ensure matching mark on camshaft pulley is aligned with cylinder head cover matching mark, Fig. 42.
13. Install timing belt tensioner and spring, then temporarily secure spring in fully extended position.
14. Install timing belt. Timing belt must be install in same direction of previous rotation.
15. Remove all spark plugs, then loosen tensioner lock bolt.
16. Turn crankshaft twice in direction of rotation, then align matching marks.
17. If timing marks are not correctly aligned, repeat steps 11 through 16.
18. Torque timing belt tensioner lock bolt to 14-19 ft.lbs.
19. Measure timing belt tension using a suitable tool. If timing belt tension is not 22 lbs., loosen tensioner lock bolt and turn crankshaft twice in direction of rotation. Torque timing belt tensioner lock bolt to 14-19 ft.lbs.
20. Install lower and upper timing belt cover, then the cover attaching bolts. Torque attaching bolts to 69-95 inch lbs.
21. Install spark plugs.
22. Install baffle plate, crankshaft pulley and water pump pulley, then the alternator and drive belt.
