Drive Belt: Adjustments

DRIVE BELT ADJUSTMENT [KL]
Generator Drive Belt





1. Loosen idler pulley locknut A.
2. Adjust the belt deflection by turning adjusting bolt B.
Deflection:
New: 5.5 - 6.5 mm (0.22 - 0.25 inch)
Used: 6.5 - 7.5 mm (O.26 - 0.29 inch)
3. Tighten idler pulley locknut A.
Tightening torque: 32 - 46 Nm (3.2 - 4.7 kgf.m, 24 - 33 ft. lbs.)

P/S Oil Pump Drive Belt





1. Loosen idler pulley locknut A.
2. Adjust the belt deflection by turning adjusting bolt B.
Deflection:
New: 6.0 - 7.0 mm (0.24 - 0.27 inch)
Used: 7.0 - 8.0 mm (0.28 - 0.31 inch)
3. Tighten idler pulley locknut A.
Tightening torque: 32 - 46 Nm (3.2 - 4.7 kgf.m, 24 - 33 ft. lbs.)
