Remote Switch: Testing and Inspection

AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION

1. Switch the ignition to off.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable wait for 1min more.

3. Remove the driver-side air bag module. Driver-Side Air Bag Module Removal/Installation

4. Remove the steering wheel. Steering Wheel And Column Removal/Installation - Without Advanced Keyless Entry And Push Button Start System Steering Wheel And Column Removal/Installation - With Advanced Keyless Entry And Push Button Start System

5. Disconnect the audio control switch connector. Service and Repair

6. Verify the resistance and continuity between the audio control switch terminals.
Without Bluetooth system






- If the resistance and continuity are not as indicated in the tables, replace the audio control switch.





With Bluetooth system






- If the resistance and continuity are not as indicated in the tables, replace the audio control switch.











7. Apply battery positive voltage to audio control switch terminal D, and connect terminal E to ground.






8. Verify that the LED illuminates.

- If the LED does not illuminate, replace the audio control switch.
