Normal Operation
Power is supplied to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit 1695 (YE/WH). When any door, liftgate, or liftgate glass is opened, the ajar switch opens, signaling the SJB. The SJB monitors the ajar circuits, and based on the ajar status, the SJB supplies voltage to the interior lamps on circuit 1005 (VT/OG), and ground through circuit 401 (PK).

If the SJB detects a short to ground on the interior lamp voltage supply circuit, or a short to voltage on the interior lamp voltage supply or the ground control circuits, the SJB disables the drivers for those circuits and the interior lamps are inoperative. The SJB does not enable the drivers until a self-test is run and the SJB has determined that the system fault has been corrected.

NOTE: Aftermarket alarm systems that are spliced into the interior lamps system may cause the system to be inoperative.

DTC B1314 - is an on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects an open on the interior lamp voltage supply circuit.

DTC B1316 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects a short to ground on the interior lamp voltage supply circuit.

DTC B1372 - is an on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects an open on the interior lamp ground control circuit.

DTC B1474 - is an on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects a short to voltage on the interior lamp voltage supply circuit and is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects a short to voltage on the interior lamp ground control circuit.

Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit 401 (PK) open or short to voltage
- Circuit 1005 (VT/OG) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit 1695 (YE/WH) open
- SJB
