Manual Lever Position (MLP) Switch

Removal

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air inlet tube.

2. Remove the nut securing the manual shaft lever to the the transaxle manual shaft.

3. Remove the lever from the manual shaft.

4. Disconnect the three electrical connectors located on the top of the transaxle.






5. Disconnect the electrical connector located on the side of the transaxle.






6. Remove the two bolts securing the MLP switch.

7. Remove the bolts securing the electrical connector brackets to the top of the transaxle.

8. Remove the MLP switch from the manual shaft.






Installation

1. Position the MLP switch onto the manual shaft.

2. Install the bolts securing the electrical connector brackets to the transaxle housing.

3. Install the bolts securing the MLP switch, but do not tighten them yet.

4. Connect the electrical connectors located on the top and on the side of the transaxle.

5. Adjust the MLP switch. Refer to Adjustments

6. Install the air cleaner assembly and air inlet tube.
