33 32 042 - Replacing a rubber mount in semi-trailing arm, front
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove trailing arm Replacing Left or Right Trailing Arm
After completing tasks carry out wheel alignment.
Cars up to 05/03:
Release screw (1) and remove trailing arm console (2).
Important!
When the trailing arm is replaced, the screw connection between trailing arm console and trailing arm must be performed in the normal position in the vehicle.
Tightening torque 33 32 4AZ Control Arms And Struts (Rear)
Cars from 05/03:
Release screw (1) and remove trailing arm console (2).
Installation:
Tightening torque 33 32 4AZ Control Arms And Struts (Rear).
In vehicles from 05/03, self-tapping screws for securing the trailing arm console to the threaded connection are used.
When the trailing arm is replaced, the thread with a new bolt must be tapped outside the car into the trailing arm.
Tightening down must be carried out in the vehicle in the normal position (see below).
Important!
When the trailing arm is replaced, the screw connection between trailing arm console and trailing arm must be performed in the normal position in the vehicle.
In cars before 05/03, the panel on the longitudinal member must be detached up to the center of the car.
