32 31 020 - Removing and installing/replacing lower section of steering column trim





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove center console 51 16 392 - Removing and installing/replacing storage compartment in instrument panel trim (driver's side)





Set steering to "top" position.
Remove rubber cover (1) for ignition switch.
Unfasten screws (2).

Installation:
Tightening torques 32 31 1AZ [1][2]Specifications

Release retaining clips (arrowed) from cover.

Remove trim.

Installation:
Make sure that the lower cover is aligned correctly with the upper cover.
