Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection

Primary Resistance Test:

1. Disconnect ignition coil terminal.
2. Using an ohm meter measure resistance across the primary terminals.
If not approximately 1.0 ohm, replace ignition coil.

Secondary Resistance Test:

1. Disconnect the high tension lead.

2. Check resistance between ignition coil harness connector terminal (b) and the connector on the ignition coil for the high tension lead.

Resistance: Approximately 10.0K Ohms

3. If N.G., replace ignition coil.
