Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection
CHECKING FUEL PRESSURE1. Unscrew and remove capped nut on test connection of fuel distribution line. Catch escaping fuel.
Note: Use caution so as not to allow fuel to contact hot engine or electric sparks.
Make sure sealing ball does not fall out when removing capped nut.
2. Connect pressure gauge with hose from pressure tester P 378 on test connection.
3. Bridge fuses 16 (fuel pump) and 17 (terminal 30) on inlet side of fuse box with a piece of wire Fuel pump should now run.
4. Specifications: 2.5 ± 0.2 bar
5. Torque for capped nut = 12 Nm (9 ftlb)
