Instructions for repairing air-conditioning systems and storing spare parts

Information

If you need to work on the refrigerant circuit, close off all openings immediately using commercially available rubber stoppers.

Store air-conditioning components in a dry and sealed-off area.

Blast air-conditioning components with nitrogen before refitting.

When fitting parts, do not remove stoppers until shortly before installation. Likewise, do not remove the protective foil from the dryer until just before installation. The dryer absorbs moisture from the air and is then useless.

Do not carry out repairs in the open during damp weather.

As soon as you have replaced an air-conditioning component or if the air-conditioning system has been open for more than 30 minutes, the dryer must be replaced.

Moisture in the refrigerant circuit not only leads to poor cooling, but oversaturation can also cause the dryer to disintegrate and contaminate the air-conditioning system from inside. This can result in expensive and complicated repairs.

Evacuate the refrigerant circuit according to instructions.

Use a pressure reducer when working with nitrogen.
