1. Unscrew plastic nut and pull out the TV tuner from the holder.

1. Push in TV tuner into the holder and screw down with the plastic nuts.

1. Push on plug until it is felt to engage.

2. Position the holder with TV tuner and screw down with the fastening screws -1-. Tightening torque => Final puller: 6 ftlb.

3. Insert the emergency kit and warning triangle and position the right side-panel lining.

- Risk of irreparable damage to control unit
- Risk of damage to control unit
- Fault entries in the control unit
- Coding in the control unit is aborted
- Malfunctions in control unit, even during programming
-> Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.
-> Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.
-> Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least => Nominal value: 40 A to the vehicle battery.

The procedure described here has been structured in general terms; different text or additions may appear in the PIWIS Tester 9718.
1. Connect the Porsche System Tester to the vehicle and start the System Tester. Switch on the ignition and press >> to continue.
2. Select the vehicle type.
3. Switch from the vehicle type to the list of control units.
4. SelectPCM 3 using the cursor keys and then press TV tuner and >>.
5. Select Control unit replacement with the cursor keys and press >>.
6. Select Read coding data using the cursor keys and press >>.
7. The following message appears on the Porsche System Tester screen Codes read out successfully >>.
8. Switch off ignition and replace control unit.
9. The data that was read out is loaded in the menu Write in coding >>.
10. The System Tester displays the message Coding was written >>.
11. Exit the menu and check the TV function in PCM.
12. Then read out the fault memory.

The procedure described must be applied when a control unit has to be replaced and the tester function Control unit replacement cannot be used.
1. PIWIS Tester 9718 must be connected to the vehicle before starting it. Switch on the ignition and press >> to continue.
2. Select the vehicle type.
3. Carry out an automatic control unit search.
4. Using the >> key, move from the vehicle type to the list of control units.
5. SelectPCM 3 using the cursor keys and then press TV tuner and >>.
6. Select Coding and press >>.
7. In the Coding menu, the coding values must be adapted according to the vehicle equipment, configurations or country-specific variants.
7.1. Select Video standard AV input PAL or NTSC (depending on the country) and press F8 to start coding.
7.2. Set Rear Seat Entertainment video/audio output to inactive or active (depending on vehicle model and vehicle equipment) and press F8 to start coding.
7.3. Set antenna configuration vehicle coding to 9x7 or Cayenne (depending on vehicle model) and press F8 to start coding.
7.4. Select recipient country , e.g. Northern, Central, Southern or South-Eastern Europe (depending on country), and press F8 to start coding.
8. Exit the menu and check the TV function in PCM.
9. Then read out the fault memory.
