Preliminary work

1. On vehicles with car radio: Remove the car radio. -> 912419 Removing and installing car radio - section on "Removing" 912419 Removing and installing car radio
2. On vehicles with display and operator control unit: Remove display and operator control unit.-> 911019 Removing and installing PCM display and operator control unit - section on "Removing" 911019 Removing and installing PCM display and operator control unit

Remove upper part of centre console cover. -> 68191900 Removing and installing upper part of centre console cover - section on "Removing" 68191900 Removing and installing upper part of centre console cover

Removing lower part of centre console cover





Installation position of lower part of centre console cover

1. Unscrew fastening screws.

2. Unclip lower part of centre console cover.

3. Release ashtray plug connection -a- and pull it off -B-.

Installing lower part of centre console cover

1. Connect the ashtray plug connection until it engages securely.

2. Clip in lower part of centre console cover.

2.1. Place centre console cover in installation position.
2.2. Clip in centre console cover.
3. Screw in fastening screws => Tightening torque: 2.5 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)+/-0.5 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.) for the lower part of the centre console cover.

Subsequent work

1. On vehicles with car radio: Install the car radio -> 912419 Removing and installing car radio - section on "Installing" 912419 Removing and installing car radio
2. On vehicles with display and operator control unit: Install display and operator control unit. -> 911019 Removing and installing PCM display and operator control unit - section on "Installing" 911019 Removing and installing PCM display and operator control unit
3. Install upper part of centre console cover. -> 68191900 Removing and installing upper part of centre console cover - section on "Installing" 68191900 Removing and installing upper part of centre console cover

Removing front ashtray cover

Information

- The cover can only be removed and installed when the ashtray is installed.

1. Open front ashtray.
2. Detach front ashtray cover.





Detaching front ashtray cover

2.1. Insert screwdriver into the side next to the chrome insert between the cover and the ashtray lid.
2.2. Turn screwdriver carefully until the fastening parts -1- become loose.
2.3. Remove front ashtray cover upwards.

Installing front ashtray cover

1. Place cover in installation position.
2. Push on the cover until the fastening parts click into place.
