Only Basic Boost Pressure

INPUT FROM REVERSING LIGHT SWITCH ON CARS WITH A MANUAL GEARBOX.





Symptom Of Fault.
Only basic boost pressure.

Diagnostic Procedure.
1. Check the reversing light switch.
- Connect an ISAT scan tool.
- Ignition switch in ON position.
- Select "READ ON/OFF".
- Select "TORQUE LIMITATION".
- Check the operation of the reversing light switch by engaging reverse gear.

Is the ISAT scan tool reading correct?
YES:
^ Proceed at "Before Replacing a Control Module". Component Tests and General Diagnostics
NO:
^ Continue with point 2.

2. Check the reversing light
- Check that the reversing light comes on when reverse gear is engaged.

Is the reversing light OK?
YES:
^ The fault is in the lead between pin 13 of the control module and pin 86 of the reversing light relay.
NO:
^ Continue fault diagnosis in the Electrical system, reversing light.
