Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement (Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement).
2. Remove the nut and spacer from the wiper motor assembly.
3. Remove the interior trim panel from the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement (Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement).
4. Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector.
5. Remove the 2 bolts retaining the wiper motor to the liftgate.
6. Remove the wiper motor.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the wiper motor.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the 2 bolts retaining the motor to the liftgate.

Tighten the bolts to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).

3. Connect the wiper motor electrical connector.
4. Install the interior trim panel to the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement (Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement).
5. Install the spacer and the nut on the wiper motor assembly.

Tighten the nut to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).

6. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement (Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement).
