Seat Back Latch Beam Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure





1. Lower the passenger side rear seat back assembly.
2. Lower the driver side rear seat back assembly, but do not let the passenger side seat back latch engage with the driver side.
3. Remove the fastener plugs and the access hole plug.




4. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, disconnect the latch hook from the connecting rod.




5. Remove the rear seat beam fasteners.
6. Remove the seat back beam.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the seat back beam over the seat back.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the rear seat back beam fasteners.

Tighten the rear folding seat back beam fasteners to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).





3. Using long nose pliers, snap the latch hook into the connecting rod.




4. Install the fastener plugs and the access hole plug.
5. Lift the seat backs and inspect for proper seat back latch function.
