Front Fender Replacement (Sedan)



Fender Replacement - Front (Sedan)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front fender liner.
2. Remove the rocker panel.
3. Remove the front roof applique.
4. Remove the headlamp assembly.




5. Remove the rear of the front fascia from the fender support bracket.




6. Remove the bolts from the bottom, front, and top of the fender.
7. Remove the fender from the motor compartment side rail.
8. If the fender requires replacement, remove the following components:
* The fender emblem. Refer to Front Fender Emblem/Nameplate Replacement.
* The fender brace. Refer to Brace Replacement - Front Fender Upper Diagonal.

Installation Procedure

1. If the fender requires replacement, install the following components:
* The fender emblem. Refer to Front Fender Emblem/Nameplate Replacement.
* The fender brace. Refer to Brace Replacement - Front Fender Upper Diagonal.




2. Position the fender on the motor compartment side rail.
3. Align the fender to the door and the hood.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

4. Install the bolt which secures the fender to the front body hinge pillar.

Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

5. Install the following bolts:
* The bolts which secure the fender flange to the upper compartment side rail
* The bolts which secure the fender to the headlamp bracket
* The bolts which secure the rear lower fender to the support

Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).




6. Position the fascia from the fender. Snap the fascia into place.
7. Install the headlamp assembly.
8. Install the front roof applique.
9. Install the rocker panel.
10. Install the front fender liner.
