Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Unsnap and tilt up the upper steering column trim cover (1) and remove the instrument panel seal nuts (2).
2. Remove the upper steering column trim cover from the steering column.




3. Remove the lower steering column trim cover screws (2).
4. Release the tilt lever (1) and lower the steering column.
5. Maneuver and remove the lower steering column trim cover (3) from the steering column.



Installation Procedure





1. Maneuver and install the lower steering column trim cover (3) to the steering column.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the lower steering column trim cover screws (2).

Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).





3. Place the upper steering column trim cover (1) to the top of the steering column and install the instrument panel seal retaining nuts (2).
4. Snap the upper steering column trim cover into place.
