2ZR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
NOTE: Replace the ECM with a new one if necessary.

1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

4. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL

5. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH

6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH

7. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

8. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH Removal

9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL Removal

10. REMOVE ECM
(a) Remove the 2 lock knobs and harness clamp.






(b) Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.






(c) Remove the bolt and 2 nuts and remove the ECM.
11. REMOVE ECM BRACKET






(a) Remove the 2 screws and the ECM bracket.
12. REMOVE NO. 2 ECM BRACKET






(a) Remove the 2 screws and the No. 2 ECM bracket.
