2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

(b) Separate the wire harness.

(c) Loosen the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, unlock the air cleaner assembly clamp and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.





(d) Remove the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly.

(e) Separate the wire harness.





(f) Remove the 3 bolts and remove the air cleaner case sub-assembly.

2. REMOVE ECM





(a) Remove the 2 lock knobs and harness clamp.

(b) Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.

(c) Separate the engine wire.

(d) Remove the 2 bolts from the ECM.





(e) Remove the 4 screws and ECM bracket.
