LIGHTING: PERSONAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT PERSONAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY





(a) Check the resistance.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the personal light.

(b) Check the drivers light operation.

(1) Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal 1 and the negative (-) battery lead to terminal 2. then check that the light illuminates.

(2) Check that the light comes on when the drivers switch on.

OK:

The light comes on.

If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or personal light.

(c) Check the passengers light operation.

(1) Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal 1 and negative (-) battery lead to terminal 2.

(2) Check that the light comes on when the passengers switch on.

OK:

The light comes on.

If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or personal light.
