DOOR LOCK: FRONT DOOR LOCK: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure described below is for the RH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH Disassembly

2. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL Disassembly

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL Disassembly

4. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER Disassembly

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER Disassembly

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRAME REAR LOWER SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Driver Side) Disassembly

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 3 screws.





(b) Slide the front door lock downward, pull out the front door lock open rod from the outside handle frame, and remove the front door lock and cables as a unit.

(c) Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the front door lock.

10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE

(a) Remove the front door lock remote control cable.





(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and open the cover.

(a) Remove the front door inside locking cable.
