HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the resistance of the cooler compressor solenoid.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





If the resistance is not as specified, replace the compressor.

(b) Check the resistance of the magnet clutch.

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the compressor.

(c) Check the magnet clutch operation.

(1) Confirm that the magnet clutch hub and magnet clutch rotor lock when the battery positive lead is connected to terminal 3(MG+) of the magnet clutch, and the negative lead is connected to the body ground.

If the operation is not as specified, replace the magnet clutch assembly.
