Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
NETWORKING: LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR
NOTICE:
Connect the Techstream to the vehicle and turn either front door courtesy light switch on-and-off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.
1. CHECK DTCS (WITH TECHSTREAM)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
(c) Enter the following menus: System Select / Body / Main Body / DTC.
HINT
* DTCs can also be output with the ignition switch off.
* If unrelated DTCs are output, the ECU may be malfunctioning.
2. CLEAR DTCS (WITH TECHSTREAM)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
(c) Enter the following menus: System Select / Body / Main Body / DTC.
NOTICE:
* If DTCs are not cleared, turn the ignition switch off and repeat the DTC clear procedure again.
* Do not clear DTCs with the Techstream until the cause of the malfunction has been identified.
