Combination Switch Input Circuit Check
Diagnosis Procedure
Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to [BCM: Wiring Diagram] [1][2]Body Control Module.
1. CHECK INPUT 1 - 5 SYSTEM CIRCUIT FOR OPEN
1 Turn ignition switch OFF.
2 Disconnect BCM and combination switch.
3 Check continuity between BCM harness connector and combination switch harness connector.
Does continuity exist?
YES
GO TO 2
NO
Repair or replace harness.
2. CHECK INPUT 1 - 5 SYSTEM CIRCUIT FOR SHORT
Check for continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
Does continuity exist?
YES
Repair or replace harness.
NO
GO TO 3
3. CHECK BCM OUTPUT VOLTAGE
1 Connect BCM.
2 Turn ignition switch ON.
3 Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.
Is the measurement value normal?
YES
GO TO 4
NO
Replace BCM. Refer to [BCM: Removal and Installation].
4. CHECK COMBINATION SWITCH
Check combination switch. Refer to [Combination Switch Circuit Check] Circuit Check.
Is the check result normal?
YES
Replace BCM. Refer to [BCM: Removal and Installation].
NO
Replace the combination switch (applicable parts). Refer to [Lighting & Turn Signal Switch: Removal and Installation].
Special Repair Requirement
1. SAVING VEHICLE SPECIFICATION
Perform "READ CONFIGURATION" with SDT to save or print current vehicle specification.
GO TO 2
2. Replace BCM
Replace BCM. Refer to [BCM: Removal and Installation] Removal and Replacement.
GO TO 3
3. WRITING VEHICLE SPECIFICATION
Perform "WRITE CONFIGURATION - Config file" or "WRITE CONFIGURATION - Manual selection" with SDT to write vehicle specification. Refer to [Body Control System: Configuration] Testing and Inspection.
GO TO 4
4. INITIALIZE BCM (IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM)
Perform BCM initialization. Refer to [Additional Service When Replacing Control Unit] Procedures.
