Installation








INSTRUMENT PANEL: INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX CUP HOLDER






(a) Install the No. 2 console box cup holder.
2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL CUP HOLDER ASSEMBLY






(a) Install the instrument panel cup holder assembly with the 4 screws [G].
3. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX CUP HOLDER






(a) Install the 2 console box cup holders.
4. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL STAY
(a) Engage the claw and install the 5 No. 3 instrument panel stays.





5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY (for Pole Antenna Type)
(a) Engage the 5 claws.
NOTE: Do not allow the wire harness to get caught in the claws.

(b) Install the 2 bolts [D] and nut [H].
(c) Install the 2 clips.





(d) Engage each clamp.
(e) Install the 2 passenger airbag bolts [A].
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)
(f) Install the bolt [E].
(g) Connect each connector and install the instrument panel safety pad assembly.





6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY (for Glass Antenna Type)
(a) Engage the 5 claws.
NOTE: Do not allow the wire harness to get caught in the claws.

(b) Install the 2 bolts [D] and nut [H].
(c) Install the 2 clips.





(d) Engage each clamp.
(e) Install the 2 passenger airbag bolts [A].
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)
(f) Connect each connector and install the instrument panel safety pad assembly.





7. CONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) Installation

9. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Engage the 2 guides.
(b) Engage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and install the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.
10. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side.

11. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Engage the 2 guides.
(b) Engage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and install the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.
12. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH Installation

13. CONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH Installation

14. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH Installation

15. CONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH Installation

16. INSTALL ENGINE SWITCH (w/ Smart Key System) Installation

17. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT






(a) Engage the claw and 2 guides.
(b) Install the front No. 2 console box insert with the 3 screws [F] and clip.
18. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT






(a) Engage the claw and 2 guides.
(b) Install the front No. 1 console box insert with the 3 screws [F] and 2 clips.
19. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Air Conditioning System) Installation

20. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Air Conditioning System) Installation

21. INSTALL LOWER REAR CONSOLE BOX Installation

22. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (w/o Rear Air Conditioning System)






(a) Install the No. 2 console box duct as shown in the illustration.
23. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Engage the 4 claws and 4 clips, and install the upper console panel sub-assembly.
24. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Connect each connector and clamp.






(b) Engage the 4 claws and 3 clips.
(c) Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 2 bolts [B] and 3 screws [F].
25. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Engage the 2 guides.
(b) Engage the 3 claws and install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
26. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Installation

27. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Installation

28. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)






(a) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.
(b) Connect each connector.
(c) Engage the 3 claws and 10 clips.
(d) Install the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly with the 2 bolts [B].
29. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)






(a) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.
(b) Connect each connector and the aspirator duct.






(c) Engage the 3 claws and 10 clips.
(d) Install the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly with the 2 bolts [B].
30. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation

31. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation

32. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/o Navigation System) Installation

33. INSTALL NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Navigation System) Installation

34. INSTALL HEATER CONTROL AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System) Installation

35. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System) Installation

36. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Smart Key System)






(a) Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.
(b) Connect each connector.
(c) Engage the 10 claws and 8 clips, and install the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly.
NOTE: Do not the damage the instrument panel safety pad assembly and lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.

37. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Smart Key System)






(a) Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.
(b) Connect each connector.
(c) Engage the 10 claws and 8 clips, and install the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly.
NOTE: Do not the damage the instrument panel safety pad assembly and lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.

38. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY






(a) Engage the 2 claws and 5 clips, and install the center instrument panel register assembly.
39. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Connect the connector.






(b) Install the combination meter assembly with the 4 screws [F].
40. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY






(a) Engage the 4 claws and 4 clips, and install the instrument cluster finish panel assembly.
41. POSITION FRONT WHEELS STRAIGHT AHEAD
42. INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

43. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER Installation

44. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

45. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY Installation

46. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT
47. INSTALL STEERING PAD Installation

48. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER Installation

49. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER Installation

50. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Repair Instruction - Initialization

51. INSPECT STEERING PAD Installation

52. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
