DOOR / HATCH: FRONT DOOR: DISASSEMBLY

DISASSEMBLY
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

2. REMOVE FRONT LOWER DOOR FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH

(a) Detach the clip and claw, and remove the front lower door frame bracket garnish.
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the inside handle bezel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 5 claws.
(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the front door armrest base panel and multiplex network master switch.
5. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 screws and multiplex network master switch.
6. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER LH

(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 8 claws and remove the door assist grip cover.
7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 3 screws.
(b) Detach the 13 clips and 4 claws, and remove the trim board.
(c) Disconnect the connector.

(d) Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
8. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE SEAT MEMORY SWITCH

(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the screw and seat memory switch.
10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the inside handle.
11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH

(a) Remove the 5 screws and front door inside handle bezel.
12. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH Removal

13. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and outer mirror control ECU.
14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL CUSHION

(a) Remove the screw and front door panel cushion.
15. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH Removal

17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

(a) Using a clip remover, detach the 9 clamps.
(b) Remove the bolt and disconnect the 2 connectors.
(c) Remove the service hole cover.
HINT: Remove the remaining tape on the door.

18. REMOVE FRONT INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Detach the 4 claws by pulling the weatherstrip upward to remove the weatherstrip.
19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Driver Side:
Temporarily install the multiplex network master switch.
(b) Passenger Side:
Temporarily install the power window regulator switch assembly.
(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
(d) Move the door glass until the bolts appear in the service holes.
(e) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

(f) Remove the 2 bolts.
NOTE: Be careful when removing the bolts as the glass may fall and become damaged.

(g) Remove the door glass in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
HINT: Remove the glass upward.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the glass.

(h) Driver Side:
Remove the multiplex network master switch.
(i) Passenger Side:
Remove the power window regulator switch assembly.
20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH

(a) Remove the front door glass run.
21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the bolt and rear lower frame.
22. REMOVE LOWER DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH

(a) Detach the claw and remove the lower door frame garnish.
23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

24. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH

25. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Loosen the temporary bolt.
(b) Remove the 5 bolts and window regulator.
HINT: Remove the window regulator through the service hole.
NOTE: Be careful when removing the bolts as the window regulator may fall and become damaged.

(c) Remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly and the front power window regulator motor assembly as a unit.
(d) Remove the temporary bolt from the front door window regulator sub-assembly.
26. REMOVE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a T25 "TORX" driver, remove the 3 screws and motor.
NOTE: Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and become damaged.

27. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH

(a) Remove the hole plug.
(b) Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw and remove the cover with the door lock cylinder installed.

(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw.

(c) Remove the handle by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
NOTE: If the release plate is not pulled and held when removing the handle, the release plate will interfere with the handle and become damaged.

29. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD LH

(a) Detach the 3 claws and remove the pad.
30. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD LH

(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the pad.
31. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, remove the 3 screws.
HINT: Remove the door lock through the service hole.
NOTE: Be careful when removing the screws as the door lock may fall and become damaged.

32. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly.
33. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the front door inside locking cable assembly.
34. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw.

(b) Detach the 2 claws. Slide the outside handle frame and No. 2 electrical key wire harness to remove it.
HINT: Remove the outside handle frame through the service hole.

(c) Remove the lock open rod from the outside handle frame.
35. REMOVE NO. 2 ELECTRICAL KEY WIRE HARNESS

(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Detach the 3 clamps and remove the wire harness from the frame.
36. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD LH

(a) Remove the front door lock open rod.
37. REMOVE DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR

(a) Remove the screw and door electrical key oscillator.
38. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION

(a) Remove the 2 bolts.
(b) Detach the 2 clamps and door stiffener cushion.
39. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK COVER LH

(a) Remove the cover.

40. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and door check.
HINT: Remove the door check through the service hole.
NOTE: Be careful when removing the bolt and nuts as the door check may fall and become damaged.

41. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Using a clip remover, detach the 21 clips and remove the weatherstrip.
HINT: If clips are damaged during removal, replace them.
