INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE: When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point calibration Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Select the following menu items: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC/ Active Test
Select the "VSC H/B Warning Buzzer" in the Active Test and operate the skid control buzzer on the Techstream.

ACTIVE TEST: ABS/VSC/TRAC

(d) Check that the buzzer sounds/stops when the skid control buzzer is turned on/off by using the Techstream.
Result:

B -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
A -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT SKID CONTROL BUZZER (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

(a) Disconnect the skid control buzzer connector.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Measure the voltage.
Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the skid control buzzer connector.
(b) Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2 of the skid control buzzer connector, and check that the buzzer sounds.
OK:
The skid control buzzer sound should be heard.
NG -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL BUZZER - SKID CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the skid control buzzer connector.
(c) Measure the resistance.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID
