PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Removal
3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) Removal
4. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE BOX BOTTOM MAT Removal
6. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX Removal
7. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
8. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY Removal
9. REMOVE REAR DISC Removal
10. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING Disassembly
11. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT Disassembly
12. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE Disassembly





13. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE HEAT INSULATOR (for RH Side)
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and the heat insulator.
14. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE





(a) Loosen the adjusting nut.





(b) Disconnect the cable end from the parking brake pull rod.
(c) Contract the claws of the spring cap and push the parking brake cable slightly out of the vehicle.





(d) Remove the 2 bolts and separate the parking brake cable from the parking brake plate.
(e) Remove the 5 bolts and the parking brake cable.





15. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE CLAMP
(a) Remove the parking brake cable clamp from the parking brake cable.
