DTC B1273 - Sliding Roof ECU Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly and main body ECU stops for 10 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTE:
When using the Techstream with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot:
Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

HINT: DTC B2325 is stored when the communication between the sliding roof ECU and main body ECU stops.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - SLIDING ROOF ECU)

(a) Disconnect the H2 main body ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the U3 sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly connector.
Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the tables below.

Standard Resistance:

Standard Voltage:

(c) Reconnect the main body ECU connector.
(d) Reconnect the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the U3 sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the tables below.

Standard Resistance:

Standard Voltage:

(c) Reconnect the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Temporarily replace the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly with a new or normally functioning one Removal.
(b) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Recheck for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

B -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
A -- END (SLIDING ROOF ECU IS DEFECTIVE)
