2UZ-FE EMISSION CONTROL: AIR PUMP (for Bank 1): REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
- Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
- After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the intake manifold Removal.
3. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the connector clamp.
(b) Remove the bolt.
(c) Pull out the water by-pass pipe.
(d) Remove the O-ring from the water by-pass pipe.
4. REMOVE NO. 4 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE





5. REMOVE AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the air pump connector.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and air pump.
