SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): REMOVAL
HINT
* Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
* The procedure listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
2. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER INNER LH
(a) Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the foremost position.
(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the seat track cover.
3. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER LH
(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the seat track cover.
4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch)
(a) Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the foremost position.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts.
(c) Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the rearmost position.
(d) Remove the 2 bolts.
(e) Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the center position.
(f) Operate the leg support adjustment switch to move the seat cushion to the open position.
(g) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
* When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
* After the ignition switch is turned off, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
(h) Disconnect the seat wire connectors under the seat.
(i) Remove the front seat.
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch)
(a) Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the foremost position.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts.
(c) Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the rearmost position.
(d) Remove the 2 bolts.
(e) Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the center position.
(f) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
