INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* When replacing the skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid), perform calibration Vehicle Stability Control System (for Hydraulic Brake Booster).
* Check the speed sensor signal after replacement Test Mode Procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MOMENTARY INTERRUPTION)
(a) Using the Techstream, check for any momentary interruption in the wire harness and connector corresponding to the DTC Check for Intermittent Problems.
ABS/VSC/TRAC
OK:
Normal (there are no momentary interruptions).
HINT
Perform the above inspection before removing the sensor and connector.
NG -- INSPECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (FRONT SPEED SENSOR) Vehicle Stability Control System (For Hydraulic Brake Booster)
NG -- INSPECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Vehicle Stability Control System (for Hydraulic Brake Booster).
(b) Turn the ignition switch off.
(c) Start the engine.
(d) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for at least 60 seconds.
(e) Check if the same DTC is output Vehicle Stability Control System (for Hydraulic Brake Booster).
Result
B -- REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID Disassembly
A -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure
4. INSPECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
(a) Remove the skid control sensor wire.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
RH
LH

NG -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - FRONT SPEED SENSOR)
(a) Install the skid control sensor wire.
(b) Disconnect the S1 skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid) connector.
(c) Disconnect the Va1 and/or Wa1 front speed sensor connector.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
RH
LH
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (FR+, FL+ TERMINAL)
(a) Disconnect the Va1 and/or Wa1 front speed sensor connector.
(b) Connect the S1 skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid) connector.
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
RH
LH
