1ZZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY:

COMPONENTS

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Install a new gasket onto the intake manifold.

(b) Install the throttle body with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque: 9.0 Nm (90 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

(c) Connect the water by-pass hose No. 2 [C] to the throttle body.
(d) Connect the water by pass hose [D] to the throttle body.

(e) Connect the throttle control motor connector.
2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the air cleaner cap together with the air cleaner hose.

(b) Tighten the hose clamp bolt, then connect the air cleaner hose.
Torque: 2.0 Nm (20 kgf-cm, 18 in-lbf)

(d) Connect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 3 [D] to the VSV.
(e) Connect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 1 [E] to the VSV.

(f) Install the 2 wire harness clamps [F].
(g) Connect the VSV connector [G].
(h) Connect the mass air flow meter connector [H].
3. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (Testing and Inspection)

5. CHECK ENGINE COOLANT LEAK (Testing and Inspection)

6. INSTALL CYLINDER HEAD COVER NO. 2

(a) Install the cylinder head cover No. 2 with the 2 nuts and 2 clips.
Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
