2GR-FE STARTING: STARTER: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the starter assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 37 Nm (380 kgf-cm, 26 ft-lbf)
(b) Connect the wire harness to terminal 30 and install the nut.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
(c) Cover the nut with the cap.
(d) Connect terminal 50 to the starter assembly.
2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET NO.1 Installation
3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE Installation
4. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

HINT: Repair Instruction - Initialization

(a) Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the battery terminal.
