2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Intake Side)

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.





(b) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.





Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing the oil control valve.

(c) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Exhaust Side)

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.





(b) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.





Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing the oil control valve.

(c) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

3. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Intake Side)

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.





(b) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.





Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing the oil control valve.

(c) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

4. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Exhaust Side)

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.





(b) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.





Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing the oil control valve.

(c) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

5. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK Installation

6. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

9. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

11. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

12. INSTALL COWL TOP PANEL OUTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the cowl top panel outer sub-assembly with the 4 bolts and 4 nuts.





Bolt - Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

Nut - Torque : 85 Nm (867 kgf-cm, 63 ft-lbf)

13. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK Installation

14. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

15. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH Installation

16. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH Installation

17. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

18. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Installation

19. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Testing and Inspection

20. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS Testing and Inspection

21. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

22. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
