Removal

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: SPIRAL CABLE: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

w/o Front Spoiler: Removal

w/ Front Spoiler: Removal

2. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER Removal

4. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER Removal

5. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE (w/o VSC)

(a) w/ Horn Button Wire Harness:

(1) Disconnect the connector to remove the horn button wire sub-assembly.

(b) Disconnect the connectors from the spiral cable.





NOTICE:
When disconnecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(c) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the spiral cable.

6. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (w/ VSC)

(a) w/ Horn Button Wire Harness:

(1) Disconnect the connector to remove the horn button wire sub-assembly.

(b) Disconnect the connectors from the spiral cable with steering angle sensor.





NOTICE:
When disconnecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(c) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the spiral cable with steering angle sensor.

7. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE (w/ VSC)

(a) Disengage the 6 claws and 2 pins, and remove the spiral cable from the steering angle sensor.
