Disassembly

U250E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT HOUSING

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the position indicator light housing from the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly.





2. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the shift lock release button cover from the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly.





3. REMOVE INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Separate the position indicator light wire socket and connector from the position indicator light housing.





4. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT BULB

(a) Remove the bulb and cap from the indicator light wire socket.

5. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON

(a) Disengage the 2 claws, shift lock release button and shift lock release button compression spring from the position indicator light housing.





6. REMOVE UPPER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the upper position indicator housing from the shift lock control unit.





7. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

(a) Remove the position indicator slide cover from the shift lock control unit.





8. REMOVE NO. 2 POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

(a) Remove the No. 2 position indicator slide cover from the position indicator slide cover.





9. REMOVE LOWER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the lower position indicator housing from the shift lock control unit.
